Jeff Bezos’ vessel “Koru” ranks first as the most popular celebrity yacht in the world. The photos of this $500M ship have been shared 280K times on Instagram. The Amazon founder’s luxury yacht is frequently looked up online too, with people checking it out 150K times each month, making it the most discussed celebrity boat worldwide.
Mark Zuckerberg’s “Launchpad” (valued at $400M) is the second most popular yacht. The Facebook founder’s vessel appears in 221K Instagram posts, and has been mentioned in international media around 800 times during the past year.
The MMA fighter Conor McGregor’s yacht “Lamborghini 63” ranks third in popularity. This $4M vessel draws high online interest despite costing 100x less than the top two cruisers. McGregor’s yacht gets looked up online over 120K times and has been featured in international headlines around 300 times in one year.
“Azimut Grande,” owned by Cristiano Ronaldo, follows next. The soccer star’s yacht shows up in 92K Instagram posts. Like McGregor’s yacht, Ronaldo’s vessel is lower in price but has been getting equal media attention, with more than 500 news outlet mentions.
The NBA legend Michael Jordan’s $115M yacht “M’Brace” comes fifth in the rankings. The luxury boat is looked up nearly 13K times per month, and it has received around 1,750 media mentions. On Instagram, Jordan’s superyacht appears in almost 11K posts.
Roberto Cavalli’s “The Freedom”, worth $15M, also draws strong attention. People Google the fashion designer’s yacht more than 10K times each month, while the media has mentioned it over 70 times over the past year.
Steven Spielberg’s $250M luxury cruiser “Seven Seas” is next on the list. It gathers more than 4K monthly online lookups and has been covered in international news 219 times. Fans have shared Spielberg’s vessel over 3.3K times on IG.
David Beckham’s “Seven”, valued at $20M, lands in eighth place. The vessel is googled over 3K times a month and highlighted in 1,480 news articles. On Instagram, the yacht gets more than 1.4K hashtags.
Giorgio Armani’s “Maìn” comes in ninth position. The fashion mogul’s $65M yacht appears in 273 Instagram posts, while news outlets have featured it nearly 3K times, making it the press’s favorite luxury cruiser.
Closing out the top 10 is Tom Brady’s “Viva la Vida.” Valued at $6.5M, the quarterback’s yacht has been under media spotlight in the past year, getting over 800 mentions. The superyacht also has 209 hashtags on Instagram.
“Yachts have become the status symbol among the super-rich, even though maintenance costs can reach millions every year,” says the Sail Croatia spokesperson. “Beyond the luxury and comfort they offer, wealthy celebrities are willing to pay these ongoing expenses because yacht ownership signals success better than any other luxury purchase. Being seen in Monaco, the French Riviera, or exclusive Caribbean islands adds massive value to a celebrity’s brand image that justifies the financial commitment.”
