‘Facelift cost’ searches surge by 706% as celebrity transformations dominate 2025
Search interest in cosmetic procedures has reached unprecedented levels this year, with the term “facelift cost” hitting an all-time high in August 2025. According to new analysis from Centre for Surgery, searches for the term have risen by 706.4% compared to their typical baseline since 2004, a spike far greater than anything recorded in the past two decades.
The surge comes as 2025 increasingly shapes up to be the year of cosmetic surgery, fuelled by a series of high-profile celebrity appearances that have drawn attention to rejuvenation procedures.

Momentum began in April, when socialite and “momager” Kris Jenner appeared with a noticeably refreshed look ahead of her 70th birthday, prompting widespread discussion about an alleged deep plane facelift that had people wondering how she could be aging backwards. Then, Anne Hathaway first drew attention after sitting front row at a Ralph Lauren show in April, followed by another widely discussed appearance at the Met Gala in May, with fans remarking that she looked virtually unchanged from her Princess Diaries era.
Several other celebrities have added to the ongoing conversation. Between June and July, Emma Stone also attracted scrutiny after unveiling what is believed to be a combination of a facelift, brow lift, and eyelid surgery. Jennifer Lawrence has also been the subject of increased online analysis, with her youthful look prompting speculation about potential cosmetic enhancements.
Together, these high-visibility moments have contributed to an unprecedented public interest in facial rejuvenation procedures.
Sophia Ensor, spokesperson for Centre for Surgery commented on the findings, “When multiple prominent figures unveil noticeably rejuvenated appearances in such a short timeframe, public interest naturally rises. This year’s surge shows that people aren’t just observing these transformations, they’re actively researching the procedures behind them. It reflects a cultural shift in how openly we discuss aging and aesthetic medicine. At the same time, it’s important to recognize that the outcomes seen on celebrities are often supported by substantial budgets and access to top-tier specialists. Achieving comparable results isn’t always feasible without similar resources, so anyone considering these procedures should approach them with realistic expectations and proper professional guidance.”
