A new study by Alinea Lipo NYC, a leading liposuction clinic, has revealed that celebrity hair is the most sought-after feature among Americans looking for cosmetic inspiration, with over one million monthly searches on Google.
The research analyzed search data for 25 different body features combined with 1,000 popular celebrities to determine which physical attributes Americans most want to emulate through cosmetic procedures and styling.

Hair ranked first as the most popular celebrity feature with 1,063,111 average monthly searches, with Justin Bieber’s hairstyle generating the most interest among celebrity hairstyles at 39,955 monthly searches. The results also uncovered that people are curious about how celebrities used to look with hair, with ‘Pitbull hair’ and ‘Vin Diesel hair’ ranking second and third.
Teeth ranked as the second most searched feature with 375,068 monthly searches. Tom Cruise’s smile led this category with 51,681 monthly searches. Many people are surprised to discover that Tom Cruise has an off-centre dental midline because of how perfect his smile is. This high volume of searches could be from people with similar, unique dental needs seeking reassurance.
Eyes placed third with 305,575 average monthly searches. The ‘most popular peepers’ belong to Billie Eilish, who sees 27,670 monthly searches on average.
Legs ranked fourth with 289,420 monthly searches. The most searched legs belong to Carrie Underwood and receive 18,402 monthly searches. Taylor Swift ranked second for legs with 18,000 searches. Likely due to curiosity around his car accident in March, Tiger Woods ranked third in this category with 8,000 searches.
The fifth most popular celebrity feature was beards, with 239,846 monthly searches. Topping the list is Henry Cavill’s beard, which receives 15,254 searches. Henry Cavill’s beard stood out more than others due to the contrast of his clean-shaven image as The Man of Steel, Superman.
The sixth most popular celebrity feature is jawlines, with 198,375 searches. Zac Efron’s jawline accounted for over90% of all jawline searches with 181,954 monthly queries. This is most likely a result of the public’s recent interest in his jawline’s change in appearance.
Positions seven through ten for the highest number of average searches are necks with 156,242 searches, buttocks at 147,099, noses at 139,735 and ears with 139,589 monthly searches.
An expert from Alinea Lipo NYC commented on the findings: “Celebrities are influencers for the very reason their body features get so many searches. We admire them and want to emulate their beauty standards.
“However, comparison can be the thief of joy. While it’s good we can easily access pictures of celebrities for inspiration, be mindful that they’ve had their looks maximized by world-class professionals. It’s important to know that many of these celebrities don’t look like this day in and day out, and many seek cosmetic enhancements to achieve a certain look. Often the images you see have been heavily edited, or the celebrities have been in a makeup session for hours prior.
“There appears to be a divide in which features have a clear male or female dominance when it comes to beauty standards. For example, jaw searches appear to focus more on men, while searches for features on the body like legs or buttocks predominantly feature female celebrities.”
Methodology: Monthly average search volume data was taken from Google Keyword Planner based on searches over the 11 months between [2024-06] and [2025-04] at GLOBAL level to reveal the rankings. The top 1,000 most popular people according to https://today.yougov.com/ratings/entertainment/popularity/people/all were analyzed based on searches for: [feature name] + ‘ Like ‘ + [celebrity name], [feature name] + ‘ of ‘ + [celebrity name], ‘How to get ‘ + [feature name] +’ like ‘ + [celebrity name] for 25 prominent features that people are most interested in. The combined search volume for each feature’s search terms was calculated, and then used to rank the feature from highest number of average monthly searches to lowest.
