Feel‑Good Story: Tell a Kid They’re Incredible & Help Them Get Free Laptops

Camp Fire and AT&T are bringing free laptops for kids and a powerful message of encouragement and support for the youth.
As part of #KidDay, 2026, adults across the country are invited to participate by doing one simple thing: tell a kid or teen in their life just how absolutely incredible they are. A call. A text. A note. A short video. That’s it.

Those messages can be submitted as part of the national #KidDay movement, with opportunities for young people to receive free laptops.

AT&T is providing more than 2,500 laptops nationwide as part of the campaign, pairing meaningful encouragement with access to technology. Twenty-five laptops will be awarded through a national #KidDay contest, with additional laptops distributed through Camp Fire affiliates in 23 states and Washington, D.C., prioritizing communities with the greatest need.

Submissions opened on February 12 and will run through March 10, with winners announced on Absolutely Incredible Kid Day®, Thursday, March 19.

The campaign also marks two major milestones: 150 years since the first phone call and 116 years of Camp Fire’s youth impact, making this a timely story about why human connection still matters, especially for young people navigating growing pressure and digital isolation.
